Antique Hillsdale College Treasurer Elon Reynolds Letter Ephemera 1890 GOP

Description

Letter written by Elon Reynolds, longtime Treasurer of Hillsdale College, to the Kenton Savings Bank in Kenton, Ohio trying to obtain contact information for two of his former classmates from the antebellum era at Hillsdale.
The classmates are H.A. Wheeler and E. D. Wheeler of Kenton Ohio.
The letter states that the two were members of Reynolds' Literary Society and some other group I cannot decipher.
The Wheeler Family in Kenton, Ohio operated Wheeler Tavern, which was used as a station on the underground railroad before and during the Civil War.   Hillsdale College was staunchly abolitionist and a larger percentage of its students enlisted in the War than almost any other college in the country.
Great piece of rare memorabilia that has a lithograph of Hillsdale in 1890 and also the school calendar for the 1890-1891 school year at the top.
